Ek Villain Returns is a Bollywood action-thriller film, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Ek Villain Returns is the sequel to the 2014 hit film, The sequel to Ek Villain does not retain the original cast.
While the first movie included Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Aamna Sharif, the sequel is a completely new package Villain, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Ritesh Deshmukh. While the first film of the franchise was about a conflict between a hero and a villain. The trailer starts with Ritesh Deshmukh’s reference from the 2014 film, followed by the plot – murder. Disha is paired alongside John while Tara, is with Arjun.

Up police, authority uses it as a sign against real-life villains. Uttar Pradesh’s Police Department uploaded their own quirky spin on the same. The agency posted this recreation on their social media handles with the caption, “’Be Nobody’s #Villaintine’ ….because the only sequel to crime is a prison! Dial 112 to make #TeriGalliyan safer. #NoVillainReturns.”
Along with the tweet, the UP Police also posted an edited version of the Ek Villain Returns poster that read, ‘Heroes Do Exist’. The film was Scheduled to hit the screens on July 29, 2022, the movie is bankrolled by Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series. Excited about the film, John said, “When I read the script of Ek Villain Returns, I knew it was what I wanted to do because it was like a homecoming for me. My Bollywood debut Jism was with Mohit as an assistant director on the film. He has come a long way and it’s great to see him grow.”
Abraham said when he heard the film’s script, he was floored by it “It has an unbelievable story. Mohit has executed it even better. It is fantastic,” he added. Kapoor revealed that he wanted to work with Suri on “Ek Villain” but could not as he was busy with “Tevar”, which was produced by his father Boney Kapoor. He added I have been fortunate from my first film that there are enough shades in the kind of roles that I have done, whether it is ‘Aurangzeb’ or ‘Ishqzaade’.
I have never been scared of playing the grey, and so it is exciting for me to come back to where I started,” he said. “I have done ‘Half Girlfriend’ with him (Suri), ‘Ki and Ka’, ‘2 States’, I have done all sorts of films. I always wanted to go to the dark side and to do it in this kind of a set-up and the script, which was good,” he added. A lot of hard work has gone into this film and we hope you enjoy it,” he shared.
